  • Isn't the beta already out? What's the difference between this alpha and the 2.0.8.9/2.0.9 beta?

  • The 2.0.8.9 alpha came out before the 2.0.9.0 beta. It included most, but not all, of the features. After the beta released (To avoid outdated clients) I updated the alpha installer to install the later version instead.

  • But you already released Fiddler 2 Betas before, right? So where did this Alpha came from?

  • Ah, I see. Betas are released for each version. So, there was a beta for each v2.0.1, v2.0.2, v2.0.3, v2.0.4, ..., v2.0.8, v2.0.9.

In some rare cases, I release an alpha version before releasing the beta release.
